These superb quality, hand-made handbags come in a choice of muted tartan checks, woven in pure wool Scottish tweed. They are lovingly made by the Barrhead Kid Company of Scotland, who specialise in the tanning of Wild Scottish Deerskin. This process is unique to them, and with seven generations of knowledge passed down, the process is carried out in the same traditional hand-made way that it always has.

The Barrhead Kid Company work closely with The Deer Commission For Scotland,and use skins only from registered gamekeepers and stalkers who cull from the estates that produce meat for the venison market. It is very likely that this superb material would be a wasted by-product, were it not for the particular skill and knowledge of this specialist company.

The tweed material is bonded in three layers to create strength and structure in these durable and attractive bags,which all also have internal zip pockets in addition to the sturdy main zip fastening at the top.
